Geoff Wetrosky

According to the Minnehaha County Auditor,  Geoff Wetrosky was registered to vote in SD as late as February of 2006 when his registration was cancelled. You can call the Minnehaha County Auditor to confirm this yourself at 605-367-4220.

The question is, did he vote there while voting somewhere else? It happens often that someone is registered in more than one place. But fraud occurs if someone votes on Election Day in more than one place.

I hope we don't get to the point that we're going to intimidate voters so much that they become concerned that even an effort to vote might put them in legal harm's way.

We should be encouraging and welcoming people to vote, not insist that they show a photo ID (which many-a-16 year old will proudly tell you he has), then perhaps fingerprints, an eye-scan, and the instant DNA test that will likely be available in just a few years.

The agenda to create more roadblocks and hoops and loops for voters reminds me of something I read about how a dictator in South America didn't worry about holding an upcoming election. He just told his army generals that if they couldn't determine how voters would vote, just don't let them vote.

Jim Splaine's reponse here, apparently advocating illegal voting, is outrageous.

He writes: "I hope we don't get to the point that we're going to intimidate voters so much that they become concerned that even an effort to vote might put them in legal harm's way."

If you vote in two places at once and attempt to vote in NH illegally, I *want* you to be VERY worried that you are "in legal harm's way"

Then he implies that we can't have a photo ID requirement because it will lead to draconian measures like fingerprints and DNA tests. What??? This is an absurd argument for not taking the reasonable precaution of showing an ID - the same thing every other voter does in nearly every other state.

This young Democrat (Geoff) got caught lying. I wonder how many other out-of-state teens and adults are doing the same thing. Sorry, Jim, but you need to be elected by fellow Demos in NH, not by outsiders posing as NH residents, and I hope you're not relying on those outsiders to win elections.
