Position of Chairman on Sandown Board of Selectman revoked from Corey Corbin

NHInsider has learned that in response to hearing from many dissatisfied residents, and citing examples of bad leadership and a lack of accountability, the Sandown Board of Selectmen passed motions yesterday to elect a new chairman for the Board.

A motion was made by Selectman John Quevilon to remove Corey Corbin from the position of Chairman of the Sandown Board of Selectmen, a position he has held for five months, and this motion passed. Another motion was then put on the table to elect Senior Selectman James Devine to the position of Chairman of the Sandown Board of Selectmen, and this motion passed as well.

In 2007 the Town of Sandown will be expanding its Board of Selectmen from three seats to five.

I live in Sandown.

He has few supporters in his own home town because he is a terrible leader, and a less-than-honest person.

He deserved it.

He is the Democratic nominee for State Senate District 17, running against incumbent Jack Barnes of Raymond.

The comment by the sandown resident that I am a "less than honest" person is interesting. More so that the person won't name themsleves, and cites no examples of by "dishonesty".

The lack of support in sandown for me is froma small group of about 12 people led by Mark and Cathy Hevesh who are upset that thier work on the town website was supbar and I called them on it.

The Selectman making the motion to remove me, Mr. Quevillon, has shown nno more leadership on the board than anyone else.

A Board Chairman is an administrator, nothing more. The new Chairman hardly shows up to do the work that needs doing on a daily basis and refuses to do so unless it is a Monday.

To my detractors in Sandown - be careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

We have taken an interest in this in Danville since Corey Corbin is a candidate for the state senate from District 17, which includes us.

... and Corey Corbin has left about 94 lenders in a lurch to the tune of about $25,000.

The first comment above by "Sandown Resident" seems to be proving true.
